1. Agreement to terms
The following terms and conditions apply to the business relationship between ‘’us’’, the “Austria for beginners – Integrationsverein”, respectively ‘’austria4beginners.at’’ and ‘’you’’ our clients and guests. Austria for beginners – Integrationsverein is a non-governmental organization registered in Vienna, Austria.
2. Legal consultations
Our organization aims to ease integration in Austria by making the law understandable and accessible for internationals. For that purpose, we provide legal consultations which are free of charge for our members and additionally, one 20-minute free consultation in the calendar year for non-members. The consultations are held by legal professionals.
The advice clients receive is by no means “the only possible course of action” but rather the “best possible course of action” in the respective legal counsel’s opinion. We provide advice based on the facts you provide us with. If you withhold information, our work and its outcome will be affected.
3. Membership
Only individuals can be members of Austria for beginners – Integratonsverein. Members owe an annual membership fee of 65,00 Euros per person, and 100, 00 Euros for families.
In certain cases in which, in addition to legal advice, further legal activities of the association (such as external correspondence, representation work before the arbitration board or court, etc …), an extended membership fee of currently € 55.00 is required immediate procedure is to be paid. The extended membership fee is payable in addition to the annual fee.
Membership grants individuals priority access to appointments, 20% discount of the price of all paid services and events, access to the membership directory of Austria for beginners – Integrationsverein, access to one of the pre-recorded webinars and one of The Super Simple Guides.
4. Right of withdrawal
Under the Austrian Consumer Protection Act and the Distance and External Business Transactions Act individuals have a right to withdrawal within 14 days from the date they have entered into a contract when that occurred outside of the organization’s offices. According to these terms and conditions that date is the date the individual has requested membership in the organization. The request can be done via email, through the organization’s website, or during a consultation (whether online or by phone). The timely withdrawal results in a full refund of the membership fee.
The individual can invoke the right of withdrawal per email to the official email address of the organization – office@austria4beginners.at. No special withdrawal is needed.
However, if the individual has started using their membership before the 14-days have ended, they can only be refunded in a proportion to the services they have used already.
The above-mentioned information applies to all paid services the organization offers to members and non-members.
5. Paid services
Communication with third parties
Upon your request, we can undertake the communication with third parties on your behalf. Third parties usually include various administrative offices, landlords, property management companies, private contractors, employers, banks etc.
This service is charged by the hour. Used up time and exact description of the work done is being documented by Austria for beginners in a client file. The client can request a copy of that file at any time.
This service requires an advance payment for the first working hour. Subsequent hours are paid at the end of the assignment. If the action required was done in less than one hour, the client can use up the rest of their time within the calendar year in which the service was purchased. There is no refunding of unused minutes. If you exceed 60 minutes, you will be charged for an additional hour from the 75th minute on.
We can only work with the facts and information you provide us with. If you withhold information, our work and its outcome will be affected.
Filling out forms
We can fill out any form for you. There is an individual pricing depending on the level of sophistication and the length of the particular form. We can only work with the facts and information you provide us with. If you withhold information, our work and its outcome will be affected.
Accompanying and translating
When needed, a member of our team can accompany you to an administrative office, bank office, etc. and assist you in your dealings by providing literal translation on the spot. This service is often combined with legal advice, but you are ONLY being charged for the time for accompanying and translating. 1 hour is one astronomical hour. If you exceed 60 minutes, you will be charged for an additional hour from the 75th minute on.
6. The Super Simple Guides
We write and publish on our website guides explaining important aspects of living in Austria for internationals. The content of the guides DOES NOT constitute legal advice. The guides are available after a purchase on our website and are being delivered per email in a PDF file.
7. Events
Tickets to Austria for beginners’ webinars and other events can be purchased on our website.
Ticket to a pre-recorded webinars grants a 72-hours access to the recording facilitated through Microsoft Teams.
By attending our events you automatically agree to Austria for beginners taking pictures and/or making video recordings of you during the event and publishing them free of charge on their website or in other media (TV, print, online) for the purpose of presenting the event and its participants, including in press coverage and documenting the event.
Participation fees are due in advance. The fee is fully refundable if you cancel your participation 7 days prior to the date of the event. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event are not refunded.
8. Newsletter
You can sign up for our monthly newsletter and receive useful important updates about legal matters affecting the life of internationals in Austria.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email.
9. Payment methods
Payment methods we accept are PayPal, Stripe, bank transfer and payments in cash. If you choose PayPal as your payment method, please make sure that your account is linked to a credit card or that you have sufficient funds. In both cases, Austria for beginners will not save your credit card information. Only the payment processor – PayPal – will collect credit card information. We will not share your name, address, e-mail address or any other personal information with third parties.
10. Personal information
We may only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy page.
11. Applicable law / place of jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are subject exclusively to Austrian law. The court whose jurisdiction is the place of residence, habitual residence or place of employment of the customer is responsible for any legal disputes.
12. Severability clause, written form
Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become wholly or partially ineffective or void, this does not affect the effectiveness of the remaining terms and conditions. Existing statutory provisions replace any ineffective or void provisions.
